About Us

We are Pat and Kathy Heflin. Our family has enjoyed camping
in the Bennett Spring area for many years. We have camped
at many of the area campgrounds, but always enjoyed our
stay at this campground. When this campground became
available for sale in October of 2005, we decided to go ahead
and follow our dream and purchase the campground formerly
known as Idletime. Since acquiring the campground, we have
been busy cleaning, repairing and improving the campground.
We changed the name to Whistlestop Campground LLC. We
are a family owned business .We have three grown children
Katie,Zach, and Jacob, who help us run the campground. Our
grandson,Dylan,also helps around the campground. Our goal
is to make Whistlestop Campground LLC a picturesque,
FAMILY FRIENDLY campground. We offer boy scout and girl
scout discounts and will do all we can to promote family
friendly fun. We have full hookups with 30 and 50 amp
service, and acres of beautiful treed tent areas. We are
starting a general store for our camper's convenience. If you
frequent the area often, you may be interested in our
